Outlook
express won’t launch when you click an e-mail link.
We use e-mail links on this web-site to allow you to vote on various
issues. In these cases when you click the e-mail link your e-mail
programme should open an e-mail with the subject heading completed and
perhaps some text in the e-mail body. To register a vote all you need do
is to is to click send, although your vote will have greater substance
if you add your name and address to the body of the e-mail first.
Regardless of which e-mail programme you use clicking the following link
should start it with an empty e-mail open, addressed to “Like_Wow_my_e-mailer_works”:

If
Outlook Express is your e-mail programme and clicking the above link
does not start outlook express, the following may help:
Manually start outlook express, click ‘tools’ on menu bar, then
click ‘options’
This
menu should show:

Click make default (where cursor is shown)
Click apply if the ‘apply’ text highlights
Click OK
Ignore the other settings shown in this picture they may not suit
your purposes.
Now exit outlook express and try the
test link again.
